The Role of Electrical Designer

Group AMANA is seeking an Electrical Designer – Saudi Talent to join its design team. This full-time role is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is suited for professionals with hands-on experience in electrical design, particularly within construction or contracting environments. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for preparing, developing, and coordinating electrical design drawings and documentation in alignment with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and construction deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings, layouts, and documentation based on project specifications, engineering inputs, and client requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate electrical drawings for industrial, commercial, and data center projects, including power distribution, lighting, containment, grounding, and low-current systems.
• Conduct site visits to gather information, verify existing conditions, and understand project and construction requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers, architects, BIM teams, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure design integration and accuracy.
• Support the preparation and timely issuance of IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings in line with the project deliverables log and approved schedule.
• Ensure design drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Maintain accurate design files, drawing registers, revisions, and documentation records.
• Review and update drawings based on engineering comments, client feedback, site conditions, and design changes.
• Assist in preparing design proposals, technical presentations, and coordination documents as required.
• Support construction teams by responding to design-related queries and providing drawing clarifications.
• Apply quality checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of design deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical design.
• Experience within contracting, construction, or design-build environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with industrial, commercial, and data center projects is highly valued.
• This role requires a Saudi Talent.
