Job Summary
The Florist is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality floral arrangements while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and knowledge of flowers, plants, and floral care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and prepare floral arrangements (bouquets, centerpieces, event arrangements, custom orders)
  • Advise customers on flower selection, styles, colors, and care instructions
  • Handle daily flower care: conditioning, trimming, watering, and storage
  • Manage customer orders for walk-ins, phone, and online requests
  • Prepare arrangements for events, weddings, and corporate orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of the shop and displays
  • Monitor flower quality and minimize waste
  • Assist with inventory checks and stock rotation
  • Handle basic cash register and POS transactions (if required)
  • Support deliveries and setup when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a florist or floral assistant preferred
  • Strong creativity and aesthetic sense
  • Knowledge of flowers, plants, and seasonal availability
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under time pressure (holidays, events, peak hours)
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Basic math and order-handling skills
