As a Maintenance/Shift Engineer at Hilton, you will play a vital role in supporting the Engineering Team to ensure the seamless maintenance of hotel operations, prioritizing safety, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering excellent service and maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance throughout hotel rooms.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Execute the preventative maintenance schedule ensuring that all equipment and areas are up to standard.
  • Assist in energy conservation efforts and recommend maintenance system improvements.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in excellent working condition.

What We Are Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • A certificate in a specialized field such as Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, Carpentry, or Plumbing.
  • Experience in the Maintenance Department of a large hotel or similar environment.
  • A strong work ethic and a passion for customer service.
  • The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

About the Role:
The Maintenance Automation Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing automated systems and equipment within the Body in White (BIW) lines. This role ensures high equipment availability and performance through effective troubleshooting, programming, and preventive maintenance of PLCs and other automation technologies. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motor drives, and robotic arms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Modify and optimize PLC programs and robotic routines to improve equipment performance.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new automated equipment in the BIW line.
  • Maintain documentation of automation systems, including wiring diagrams, program backups, and change logs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and support root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Train maintenance technicians on automation systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Identify spares requirements for control systems.
  • Keep up with current and developing control system trends regarding maintenance.
  • Architect, write, and debug PLC ladder logic.
  • Ensure PLC code interacts with subsystems such as conveyors, robots, and more.
  • Enforce application of Lucid Motors standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
  • 35 years of experience in automation maintenance within the automotive industry, preferably in BIW.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, and automated assembly systems.
  • Knowledge of TPM, lean manufacturing, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
