About the Role

Makkah Water Safa is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on the maintenance and operational efficiency of packaging machinery and production equipment. The role requires a solid understanding of mechanical maintenance principles and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Mechanical Engineer for Packaging Machines in developing and implementing maintenance programs and schedules.
• Assist in gathering data and identifying solutions for complex maintenance issues.
• Perform mechanical maintenance tasks, including component repair.
• Contribute to the preparation of maintenance summaries and reports.
• Utilize advanced tools and equipment for maintenance activities, adhering to quality standards.
• Maintain and organize technical information, data, and equipment catalogs.
• Keep accurate maintenance history records for packaging machines and preform production equipment.
• Receive, handle, and maintain tools and equipment to ensure optimal use and prevent damage or loss.
• Assess damage levels, estimate required spare parts and materials, and submit requests to the direct supervisor.
• Execute corrective maintenance tasks according to approved procedures and work instructions.
• Effectively use dismantling, assembling, and inspection tools and equipment.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workplace.
• Comply with all occupational health and safety regulations.
• Verify the proper completion and quality of maintenance work.
• Undertake other related duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technical diploma or vocational certificate in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Mechanics, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in the maintenance of packaging machines or industrial production lines.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in mechanical maintenance practices for industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and components.
• Strong skills in using mechanical tools and inspection equipment.
• Capability to read and interpret technical manuals and catalogs.
