About the Role: Mechanical Technician

CSI Global is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Makkah. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of mechanical systems across various facilities. The role involves hands-on work in installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair, contributing directly to operational safety and efficiency.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for the comprehensive management of mechanical systems and equipment within commercial, industrial, and infrastructure facilities. This includes performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure all mechanical assets operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and international standards. The role requires a proactive approach to diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, pumps, motors, compressors, fans, and various piping systems.
  • Conduct maintenance on chilled water systems, ventilation systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), exhaust fans, and their associated components.
  • Maintain plumbing systems, including water supply networks, drainage systems, valves, and fixtures.
  • Assist in the maintenance and testing of firefighting mechanical systems, such as pumps, sprinkler piping, and hose reels.
  • Diagnose mechanical faults accurately and implement timely corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment manuals, and other technical documentation.
  • Execute equipment alignment, lubrication, and the replacement of bearings, seals, couplings, belts, and other mechanical components.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and meticulously record all maintenance activities using work orders and maintenance management systems.
  • Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities for new mechanical installations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, permit-to-work requirements, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines.
  • Coordinate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests as required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid Saudi Council Certificate as a "Technician".

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
