About the Merchandiser Role at PepsiCo

PepsiCo is seeking a Merchandiser to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on optimizing the on-shelf presence of PepsiCo products within designated retail outlets. PepsiCo products are consumed globally over a billion times daily, supported by a diverse portfolio including LAY'S, DORITOS, CHEETOS, GATORADE, PEPSI, and QUAKER.

Role Purpose and Objectives

The primary objective of this role is to ensure maximum visibility and optimal placement of PepsiCo products on shelves and in displays across all assigned outlets. The Merchandiser plays a key part in maintaining brand presence and supporting sales initiatives within the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily journey plans to visit assigned outlets.
• Merchandise products in various locations including shelves, stands, and floor displays according to planograms.
• Place Point of Sale (POS) materials adjacent to product displays where applicable.
• Ensure all display areas adhere to approved planograms.
• Implement the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method for product rotation and remove substandard products.
• Maintain a consistently clean and fresh stock of products on shelves.
• Monitor and report on competitor activities within the assigned outlets.
• Report any deviations from agreed terms with customers or outlets to the pre-seller.
• Provide daily reports on activities to the supervisor.
• Participate in in-store sampling or redemption campaigns as required.
• Adhere to the Frito Lay code of conduct regarding personal appearance and professional behavior.
• Report market information to the pre-seller to identify selling opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Possess a valid driving license.
• Demonstrate a service-level oriented approach.
• Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment and Type
