About the Role

United International Group is seeking a skilled MHE Technician (Mechanical) to join their maintenance team. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering both Jeddah and Makkah. The role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance and availability of material handling equipment through dedicated maintenance efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults within conveyor and automation systems.
• Conduct all maintenance activities in adherence to safety regulations and company standards.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to restore operations efficiently.
• Execute conveyor maintenance tasks, including belt alignment, belt welding, bearing replacement, roller replacement, and gearbox maintenance.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and performance.
• Coordinate with contractors, supervisors, and operations teams as needed.
• Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and ensure high equipment availability.

Required Qualifications

• Possess a technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in MHE, conveyor systems, or industrial maintenance.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
• Exhibit hands-on experience in conveyor maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Show experience working with automation and material handling equipment.
• Possess the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
• Communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with sortation systems and automated warehouses.
• Knowledge of barcode scanners and print-and-apply machines.
• Apprentice Training, HNC, HND, Diploma, BSc, or BEng qualification.
• Experience within logistics, distribution centers, or manufacturing environments.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Makkah, serving the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.
