As the Facilities Safety Manager at the prestigious King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), you will play a critical role in enhancing safety culture across our research-intensive environment.

About KAUST:
Located in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, KAUST boasts a state-of-the-art campus with modern research facilities and a vibrant residential community. We are dedicated to pioneering scientific advancements and fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the fire and life safety Authority Having Jurisdiction for KAUST, overseeing and approving fire safety projects and compliance.
  • Collaborate across departments to identify and mitigate hazards during construction and maintenance.
  • Develop and update standards and procedures for health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of safety professionals and engineers.
  • Conduct training for the KAUST community on safety practices.
  • Investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related safety discipline is required. You should have a minimum of 6 years of experience in health and safety, particularly in fire systems engineering.
