The Role of Senior Architect Engineer

Parsons is seeking a Senior Architect Engineer to join its team in Makkah. This full-time role involves performing a variety of complex architectural assignments, applying established architectural design standards, practices, and techniques. The incumbent will be a fully qualified architect proficient in developing creative architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract.
• Conduct architectural studies, develop design concepts and criteria, and prepare related reports.
• Review CAD/BIM drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards prepared by Architectural Designers, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Offer technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
• Write construction specifications and prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials, interfacing with suppliers as needed.
• Review supplier drawings and samples, and perform technical bid analyses.
• Coordinate work with engineering and construction units at project sites, reviewing, approving, and issuing detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provide technical guidance to junior Architects and Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Stay informed of current technologies through technical subscriptions and conference attendance.
• Prepare staffing estimates and execution plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural engineering.
• Proficiency in applying architectural design standards, practices, and techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative architectural solutions.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
