About the Role
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience in accounting or a related field, focused on ensuring the accuracy of financial information and maintaining organized records.
Core Responsibilities
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a range of duties critical to maintaining financial integrity. This includes verifying figures, entries, and documents for accuracy and proper coding. The role also involves organizing, securing, and maintaining all financial files and records in accordance with company policies. Analysis and retrieval of computerized financial information, along with the accurate maintenance of financial data using electronic spreadsheets, are key components of this position.
- Classifying, coding, and summarizing numerical and financial information to compile and maintain financial records.
- Preparing, maintaining, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll tables and reports.
- Completing period-end closing procedures and reports as specified.
- Preparing, examining, reconciling, and issuing accounts, bills, and statements according to company procedures.
Professional Conduct and Teamwork
Adherence to company policies and procedures is essential. This includes maintaining a clean and professional appearance, ensuring the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. Guest and colleague privacy and security are paramount. Effective communication is vital, requiring clear and professional language in both written and verbal interactions, including telephone and email correspondence. Cultivating positive working relationships and supporting team goals through active listening and appropriate responses are also expected.
Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to perform basic physical tasks. This includes moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Supervisors may also request other reasonable job duties to be performed.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or a certificate equivalent from a General Educational Development (GED) program. A minimum of 1 year of related work experience is required for this position.
