About the Role

ASB Bank is seeking a Technical Consultant - SRE to join its Core Tribe. This role will focus on shaping the Entitlements layer by developing the necessary engine to migrate legacy functions and support modernization efforts for ASB's digital experiences. The Technical Consultant will serve as both a hands-on architect and a strategic leader, guiding teams, making key technical decisions, and defining solutions that deliver value to customers. The position requires significant public cloud DevOps engineering, solution design experience, and solid IT infrastructure experience, with a focus on designing, configuring, and maintaining cloud platform technologies, emphasizing automation in implementation, configuration, and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Azure solutions.
  • Automate and support infrastructure deployments in Azure and on-premises using infrastructure-as-code solutions.
  • Automate security remediation and detection processes.
  • Develop documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles.
  • Create dashboards and reporting for monitoring and analysis.
  • Continuously improve processes and solutions to ensure scalability and high availability.
  • Support activities associated with the migration and upgrade of the SaaS platform.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, alerting, and reporting for environments.
  • Design and implement cloud environments.
  • Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss technical requirements for services and communicate these back to the team.
  • Work collaboratively and take ownership of work and issues that deliver to user/business outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in NoSQL graph databases, preferably Neo4j.
  • Experience in creating and maintaining GHES/Azure/Octopus CI/CD pipelines and GIT/TFS source control.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, BICEP) and CI/CD pipelines (especially ADO), and version control systems (Git).
  • Experience creating Kibana dashboards and alerts for exception and health monitoring.
  • Experience with private cloud architecture, infrastructure, and management.
  • Prior experience with automation process and orchestration tools, including build, release, and configuration management of all production systems.
  • Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks and a good understanding of the cloud adoption framework.
  • Enterprise networking and security knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to balance technical detail for the right audience and clearly articulate problem statements.
  • Azure certifications AZ-104, AZ400, AZ-500, and AZ700 are preferred.
