Job Summary:
The role of the Business Development Manager is to drive business growth, develop strategic partnerships, and expand the company's presence in the market across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate needs a strong understanding of the technical requirements in civil or electrical engineering fields, including infrastructure projects, EPC contracts, and government sector opportunities. This role requires a strong market knowledge, experience in bidding, and relationship-building skills, especially with government entities and key stakeholders in the Kingdom.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and follow up on new business opportunities in the construction, engineering, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's reach across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitor activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, bidders, and government agencies.
  • Represent the company at events, exhibitions, and meetings to promote brand visibility.
  • Lead the development of technical and commercial proposals for civil and electrical engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimation, and project management teams to prepare bid submissions.
  • Review project specifications and ensure compliance with client requirements.
  • Identify and engage potential partners, contractors, and suppliers for partnership opportunities.
  • Lead contractual discussions and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and track opportunities.
  • Maintain customer relationship management systems and document communications with clients.

Key Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 25 years of total experience in construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Solid experience in the GCC region, with at least 10 years in Saudi Arabia, specifically in:
    • Water transmission and distribution projects.
    • Desalination-related projects.
    • Sewage networks and pipelines.
    • Pumping / lifting stations and treatment / desalination plants.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing business development strategies in the infrastructure and water sectors.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and securing new project opportunities (EPC, PPP, concessions, long-term O&M, etc.).
