The Role of Accountant

Awtad Real Estate is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accountant to join its financial team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The successful candidate will manage various accounting functions, supporting financial reporting and analysis to contribute to the company's financial success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor suppliers' and contractors' accounts related to projects.
• Review contracts, payment certificates, and invoices to ensure compliance with agreements, purchase orders, and payment terms.
• Reconcile supplier and contractor balances and perform necessary accounting adjustments.
• Monitor project costs, operating expenses, and petty cash transactions.
• Review due payments, amounts paid, and outstanding balances for each project.
• Record project-related journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial documents.
• Follow up on invoices and payments, coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and relevant departments.
• Prepare periodic financial reports covering project costs, expenses, and financial obligations.
• Monitor Value Added Tax (VAT) and electronic invoicing requirements in accordance with Saudi Arabian regulations.
• Perform periodic accounting reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documents related to projects.
• Coordinate with Finance and Operations departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a collaborative financial team environment.
