About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a full-time Assessment Specialist. This role is central to the PhD Biomedical Sciences program, focusing on the design, implementation, management, and continuous improvement of its comprehensive assessment strategy. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Assessment Strategy and Design

  • Design, implement, manage, and continuously improve the comprehensive assessment strategy for the PhD Biomedical Sciences program.
  • Work directly with the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Research in the planning, design, and management of the assessment framework.
  • Design and maintain assessment blueprints, mapping examination content to PhD program learning outcomes across all coursework and research phases.
  • Coordinate curriculum mapping to ensure alignment of learning outcomes, teaching methods, and assessment tasks across all PhD coursework.

Program Coordination and Support

  • Participate in Assessment Committee meetings and provide secretariat support, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow-up on action items.
  • Communicate and coordinate with course instructors, thesis supervisors, and examination boards at both KFSHRC and Alfaisal University.
  • Assist in formulating and updating assessment policies, examination regulations, and academic standards documentation.

Data Management and Analysis

  • Track, compile, and file student grades, qualifying examination outcomes, and research milestones in a centralized and secure database.
  • Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment data to inform program quality reviews and academic improvement initiatives.
  • Lead psychometric analysis of examination results, including item difficulty, discrimination indices, and reliability statistics; prepare analytical reports for program review.

Accreditation and Faculty Development

  • Lead the preparation of assessment-related documentation required for accreditation submissions to relevant national and international bodies (*, NCAAA).
  • Provide training and guidance to faculty members on best practices in assessment design, rubric development, and fair grading.

Qualifications and Compliance

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field. The Assessment Specialist is expected to follow all Hospital’s related Policies and Procedures, participate in self and others' education, training, and development, and perform other related duties as assigned.
