This full-time role for an Associate Cost Director Saudi National is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will contribute to a large multipurpose venue project, designed for long-term use as a versatile hub for sports, entertainment, and community events in the heart of Riyadh.

The Opportunity: Associate Cost Director

This position involves providing expert cost management advice and leading procurement strategies for a significant development project. The Associate Cost Director will be responsible for ensuring project objectives are met while achieving value for money, overseeing all stages from initial planning to project completion. Leadership and strong stakeholder engagement are central to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement strategy development, contract selection, tendering activities, and preparation of procurement reports to achieve project objectives and value for money.
  • Provide expert cost management advice, including value management, estimating, cost planning, cost control, and stakeholder reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage and oversee all procurement stages, including prequalification, enquiries, bid analysis, contractor selection, and contract preparation.
  • Supervise the preparation and execution of contract documentation, including contracts, warranties, bonds, and licenses, ensuring compliance and governance requirements are met.
  • Direct project valuations, cost checking, variation assessments, final account negotiations, and resolution of claims related to delays and additional costs.
  • Manage project completion processes, including practical completion, making good defects, final completion certification, and associated approvals and submissions.
  • Lead, develop, and coach large teams, driving high performance, KPI achievement, continuous improvement, and transformational change initiatives.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and support net-zero carbon objectives through proactive identification, management, and reduction of carbon emissions during project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience in cost management and procurement.
  • At least 7–8 years in senior management positions on major development projects.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to a significant long-term project. The role requires a Saudi National.
