About the Role

Mace is expanding its rail capability across the Middle East and is seeking an Associate Director of Programme Management to support ambitious transport programmes. With a global track record in high-speed rail, conventional rail, metro, and complex station environments, Mace is growing its regional presence and building a high-calibre talent pool. This full-time position is based in Riyadh.

Programme Delivery Oversight

The Associate Director will direct the coordination and delivery of programmes, ensuring project execution aligns with defined strategic objectives, vision, and outcomes. This role involves establishing and maintaining an effective programme delivery environment encompassing people, organizational structure, processes, information, and technology. Performance improvement will be driven through resource optimization and continuous monitoring, evaluation, and refinement of systems and methodologies.

Governance and Documentation

Leadership in governance is critical, covering safety, quality, cost, schedule, risk, sustainability, compliance, and stakeholder management to ensure consistent delivery excellence. The role requires maintaining comprehensive programme documentation, including plans, procedures, reports, registers, and lessons learned, to support informed decision-making.

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management

This position involves building and leading high-performing, inclusive teams, fostering collaboration, engagement, and a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships is essential for strengthening communication, engagement, and long-term network development.

Commercial Viability and Innovation

Ensuring commercial viability and alignment with organizational objectives is a key responsibility. The role also requires embedding innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability principles, including net-zero carbon delivery.
