Business Development Manager

About the Role

Uplift People Consulting is seeking a Business Development Manager for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves developing new business opportunities across Saudi Arabia for an international quantum computing client. The manager will engage major Saudi enterprises, government entities, and PIF portfolio companies to convert initial interest in advanced technology into qualified meetings and proof-of-concept (POC) opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and prospect target accounts, identifying decision-makers within digital, AI, innovation, strategy, and R&D teams.
• Generate qualified discovery meetings through targeted outreach, partner introductions, and industry events.
• Qualify opportunities based on business needs, technical relevance, stakeholder engagement, timelines, and budget potential.
• Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to develop relevant use cases and progress opportunities towards scoped POCs.
• Build relationships with cloud providers, consulting firms, technology integrators, and local innovation networks.
• Clearly explain quantum computing’s business applications to non-specialist audiences.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and share insights on customer priorities, objections, and market readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, consulting, technology sales, innovation programs, or enterprise prospecting.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia and a strong understanding of the local business ecosystem.
• Knowledge of advanced technology such as AI, cloud, quantum computing, deep tech, or industrial innovation.
• Confidence in engaging senior business leaders and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• An existing network within PIF portfolio companies, government-linked entities, or large Saudi enterprises.
• Experience generating enterprise POCs, pilots, or workshops in complex technology environments.
• Familiarity with Vision 2030 and Saudi Arabia’s innovation priorities.
• Exposure to sectors such as energy, telecom, financial services, logistics, smart cities, aviation, mining, or manufacturing.

Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.
