About the Role

SITA is seeking a Business Development Specialist for a full-time position in Riyadh, Riyadh. This role is crucial for driving business growth, expanding customer relationships, and increasing market presence within a defined portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Business Development KSA, the specialist will focus on expanding SITA’s presence across the core airport and wider aviation ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. The target ecosystem includes airport operators, aviation authorities, government entities, ground handlers, airport service providers, infrastructure developers, and technology partners.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and qualify new business opportunities across prospective customers, new buying centers within existing customers, and the wider airport and aviation ecosystem.
  • Support revenue growth initiatives through upselling, cross-selling, and proactive customer engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Execute targeted demand generation and prospecting activities to increase market awareness and create sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to develop customer and opportunity strategies, taking ownership of assigned opportunities from initial identification and qualification through proposal development and commercial progression.
  • Support customer meetings, presentations, workshops, webinars, and industry events to promote SITA solutions and value propositions.
  • Build and maintain a healthy, qualified, and accurate pipeline aligned with agreed pipeline-generation, opportunity-conversion, and growth objectives, ensuring all activities and opportunities are kept current in SITA’s CRM.
  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and customer-facing commercial documentation.
  • Gather and communicate intelligence on Saudi aviation developments, airport investment programs, customer priorities, procurement plans, competitors, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of customer success stories, value propositions, and sales enablement content.
  • Develop and maintain a structured map of the Saudi airport and aviation ecosystem, including key organizations, decision-makers, influencers, partners, investment priorities, and upcoming projects.
  • Proactively prospect for new customers and identify whitespace opportunities where SITA has limited or no existing commercial presence.
  • Identify and engage relevant ecosystem partners, consultants, system integrators, and industry stakeholders to extend SITA’s market reach and support partner-led opportunity creation.

Qualifications and Requirements

Success in this role requires 5-10 years of experience combined with commercial acumen, consultative selling capabilities, and strong relationship-building skills. The role also demands the ability to leverage Strategic Storytelling & Executive Communication to communicate value effectively and Ecosystem Partnerships & Hunter Growth to identify new opportunities, expand market reach, and accelerate pipeline growth.
