About the CKA Service Engineer Role

Canon EMEA is seeking a CKA Service Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience to contribute to the technical performance and maintenance of Canon hardware products. The role involves providing cost-effective service solutions and optimizing technical operations.

Role Responsibilities

As a Service Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing first-line troubleshooting to identify the root cause of hardware issues across a range of products.
  • Achieving high first-time fix rates and minimizing product recalls through efficient use of labor and parts.
  • Reporting on labor and parts investment, and tracking product usage via the CAESAR coding structure.
  • Optimizing stock inventory and balancing it against return-to-fit visits.
  • Identifying commercial opportunities and reporting them to the sales and marketing department.
  • Contributing to team development and overall service performance.
  • Understanding customer requirements to support the Solution Business Strategy.
  • Liaising with account managers regarding customer issues.
  • Identifying super-users and providing product and software training.
  • Identifying opportunities for business development within client accounts and coordinating with account managers.
  • Performing maintenance and upgrading of firmware and product-related applications, including remote technical support.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Engineering Degree or Diploma in electronics, mechanics, or software.
  • Relevant experience in the service industry.
  • Experience in understanding and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • A high technical aptitude with strong fault-finding skills.
  • Good customer handling and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions.
  • Good commercial insight and business acumen.
  • A current GCC driving license.
