About the Role
The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing robust data solutions that help the organization leverage data effectively for decision-making and strategic insights. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles and practices, ensuring all work aligns with approved organizational policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for seamless data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to provide necessary data structures and tools that support advanced analytics initiatives and business insights.
  • Review and assess data engineering processes to identify areas for continuous improvement and enhance efficiency.
  • Mentor junior data engineers in approved work policies to ensure compliance and high-quality outputs.
  • Execute effective data governance strategies to maintain data security and compliance.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to enhance team capabilities regarding data policies and tools.
  • Integrate data management solutions within organizational architecture, ensuring adaptability to growing data requirements.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of analytical reports for decision-making.
  • Engage with technical stakeholders to understand evolving data needs.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of data processes and functionalities.

Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 - 6 years of progressive experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a similar discipline.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing data infrastructure and pipelines using modern technologies.
  • Experience with ETL processes, including data extraction and loading methods.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address inefficiencies in data systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster collaboration.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services related to data engineering (*, AWS, Azure).
  • Understanding of programming languages relevant to data engineering like Python, SQL, or Java.
