About the Role
Parsons Corporation is seeking a Document Control Manager to oversee the document and data control lifecycle for a major project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves establishing, implementing, and managing document control processes and systems across the Program Management Office (PMO), contractors, and external stakeholders. The objective is to ensure accurate control, maintenance, and retrieval of all project information, including engineering deliverables, commercial correspondence, technical submissions, and project records, in compliance with project and client standards, thereby ensuring audit readiness and data integrity from project inception to closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to the Document Control Procedure by the PMO and PMCs, and update the Procedure as needed.
- Manage the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) for the Programme.
- Create and implement workflows for Programme Documentation within the EDMS.
- Provide weekly reports on outstanding and overdue items.
- Train team members on the effective use of the EDMS and SharePoint.
- Develop and maintain document control procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Business Administration, Documentation, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of experience in document control management.
- Willingness to share knowledge and train others on the EDMS and SharePoint.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with document management systems.
- Self-motivation to gain alignment on the EDMS with the PMO and PMCs.
- Familiarity with project management systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory document retention requirements.
Required Skills
- Document Control Procedure development and implementation.
- Expertise in Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- Proficiency in creating workflows for programme documentation.
- Experience in generating weekly log reports, including overdue items.
- Training and mentoring capabilities for EDMS and SharePoint users.
- Procedure writing and documentation management.
- Proficiency in SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with various document management systems.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to drive alignment.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory document retention requirements.
- Familiarity with project management systems.
- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. PMP certification is preferred. Certification in document control (*, Certified Document Controller or ISO 9001) or records management is desirable.
