About the Opportunity

Mutib Alkhudairi & Co. for Professional Services is seeking an experienced External Audit Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and developing high-performing audit teams. The successful candidate will be crucial in overseeing engagements from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to professional standards, and contributing to the growth of our Audit & Assurance practice.

Role Purpose and Scope

This position requires professional fluency in both Arabic and English, as it involves extensive interaction with Arabic-speaking clients, regulatory authorities, and audit teams. The External Audit Manager will provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations while maintaining high-quality service delivery across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead external audit engagements from planning to reporting.
• Review audit files and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
• Manage client relationships across diverse industries, fostering strong professional connections.
• Lead, mentor, and develop audit teams, promoting a culture of excellence.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, ISA, SOCPA requirements, and firm policies.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and quality standards effectively.
• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters to clients and team members.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 5–15 years of external audit experience in Saudi Arabia.
• Professional qualification such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CA, DipIFR, or an equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, SOCPA regulations, and the broader Saudi regulatory environment.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory for this role.
• Proven leadership, communication, and client management skills.
• For non-Saudi applicants, eligibility for Iqama transfer is required.

• Experience with a leading international or regional audit firm.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex audit engagements.
• Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
