About the Role

GE HealthCare is a global leader in medical technology and digital solutions dedicated to improving lives. As a Field Service Engineer in the Riyadh Region, you will be instrumental in ensuring our life-changing Imaging medical equipment is operational. This role involves providing exceptional on-site service, including preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs, directly contributing to patient access to care.

This is a full-time position where you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, including doctors and technicians. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving complex issues, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring the optimal performance of GE HealthCare equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on GE HealthCare Imaging medical equipment.
  • Conduct total system-level troubleshooting for complex multi-symptom problems, addressing both electronic and mechanical aspects.
  • Maintain all models specific to a modality within the assigned geographic area.
  • Engage in daily interaction with doctors and technicians regarding equipment status to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in account sales visits, provide training to others as needed, and identify potential sales opportunities to communicate to the account team.
  • Contribute to the growth and direction of the business within your geographic area.
  • Manage warranty and preventative maintenance (PMS) contract cost control responsibly.
  • Complete all administrative tasks on time, ensuring timely documentation of Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and PMS inspections for assigned accounts.
  • Lead installations in complex and multifunctional rooms, sharing best practices and maintaining effective quality systems compliant with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Address differences of opinion tactfully and effectively, influencing customer interactions positively.
  • Perform installations, preventative maintenance, FMIs, and corrective maintenance on trained products.
  • Resolve issues effectively using appropriate documentation and tools, with support from online experts.
  • Focus on customer impact and aim to resolve issues effectively on the first visit.
  • Utilize applicable digital tools that support productivity initiatives, such as Smart PM and proactive alerts (onwatch).
  • Discuss cost-effective solutions with support engineers.
  • Maintain a consistently positive approach to customers, ensuring they are aware of and have a positive perception of GE's high-quality service.
  • Ensure connectivity of responsible systems.
  • Complete all Quality Assurance (QA) and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) trainings on time.
  • Care for Service Request (SR) quality and PMS checklists.
  • Support Service Sales with contract renewals, option and upgrade opportunities, and contract conversions.
  • Support Sales teams with new equipment sales opportunities and opportunities for End-of-Service-Life (EOSL) systems.
  • Provide technical information to Modality Sales and Service Sales teams as needed.
  • Be open to learning and continuous improvement.
  • Use applicable digital platforms efficiently.
  • Be available for on-call duties per customer contract needs.
  • Manage material consumption and work to address root cause issues and minimize costs with Life Limited Field Replaceable Unit (LLFRU) usage.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Field Service experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities; proficiency in at least one competent modality (*, MRI, CT, PET/CT, Nuclear, Xray, USG, LCS, and Angiography) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • High work standards and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to plan and organize work effectively.
  • Readiness to travel within Turkey and abroad for training and business purposes.
