Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all daily accounting operations and ensure accurate recording in compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and review journal entries and ensure proper posting to the general ledger.
• Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and verify account balances.
• Supervise payroll accounting and ensure proper recording.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required documentation.
• Prepare periodic financial reports for management with analysis and recommendations.
• Monitor costs, analyze financial variances, and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
• Handle tax obligations (such as VAT) and ensure timely filing of returns.
• Improve and develop accounting systems and procedures.
• Supervise the accounting team, assign tasks, and evaluate performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial systems.
• Expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Job Role
This is a full-time on-site position for an IFRS Financial Accountant situated in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), preparing and reviewing financial statements, analyzing financial procedures, and providing comprehensive expertise in financial reporting requirements. This role entails close collaboration with stakeholders to guarantee accuracy and compliance with financial practices while contributing to the organization’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in relevant fields.
• Experience in financial analysis, auditing, and process improvement.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to improve financial processes.
• Exceptional communication skills to explain complex financial concepts to stakeholders.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration capabilities in a professional setting.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are advantageous.
• Experience in consulting or working with engineering firms is a plus.
