About the Role

Motaded Consultancy is seeking an Import & Export Sales Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on developing and managing client relationships within the import and export sector to secure contracts for customs clearance and freight services in Saudi Arabia.

Core Responsibilities

The primary objective is to attract and convert import and export companies into clients by closing contracts for customs clearance and freight services. This involves managing the entire sales cycle from initial inquiry through to contract finalization and service commencement. The role requires building and maintaining a sustainable client base, focusing on importers, exporters, and trading companies.

  • Attract and secure signed customs clearance and freight contracts with importers, exporters, and trading companies.
  • Manage the sales process from inquiry and client meetings to quotation preparation, contract negotiation, and project initiation.
  • Prepare competitive quotations for import/export clearance services and negotiate terms to achieve contract closure.
  • Develop and manage a renewable sales pipeline to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Cultivate and expand relationships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.
  • Provide clients with sales-level guidance on import/export procedures and necessary documentation.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and trade lane opportunities, submitting regular pipeline reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales roles related to import/export, customs clearance, freight, or logistics. A strong understanding of customs procedures and service pricing is essential. Familiarity with Saudi Arabia's trade platforms and regulations is required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in import/export, customs clearance, freight, or logistics sales.
  • Knowledge of import and export customs procedures and customs service pricing.
  • Familiarity with the FASAH platform, ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) procedures, and the SABER platform / conformity certificates for imported goods.
  • Understanding of Incoterms, HS Code classification, and core trade documents (bill of lading, certificate of origin, commercial invoice, packing list).
  • Knowledge of Saudi ports, border crossings, and bonded warehouses.
  • Established relationships with importers, exporters, freight forwarders, and shipping companies.

Essential Skills

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong professional skills in negotiation, persuasion, and presentation, supported by a proven sales track record. Effective communication in both Arabic and English is necessary for engaging with international partners and clients.
