About the Role

Professional Advanced IT Solutions - PAIS Gulf is seeking an experienced IT Pre Sales Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and involves supporting the sales team in the design, presentation, and proposal of technical solutions across key IT domains.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to bridge the gap between client requirements and technical execution. The Pre-Sales Engineer will collaborate closely with sales, project, and design teams to ensure the delivery of competitive, compliant, and cost-effective technical proposals for networking, security systems, and CCTV/surveillance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze client requirements from RFP/RFQ/tender documents and translate them into technical solutions for networking, security, and CCTV systems.
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical compliance sheets, and system architecture/design drawings.
  • Select appropriate products and vendors based on project scope and budget, including structured cabling, switches, firewalls, access control, IP CCTV, and VMS.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess technical feasibility and gather detailed requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to clients and consultants.
  • Coordinate with vendors and OEMs (*, Cisco, Fortinet, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, Genetec, HID) to obtain quotations, certifications, and technical support.
  • Respond to technical queries during tender clarification stages.
  • Support the sales team in preparing commercial and technical proposals within specified deadlines.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards (*, NFPA, SIRA, TDRA, or other relevant local authority requirements).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and CCTV/surveillance technologies and trends.
  • Handoff technical documentation to the project and implementation teams upon order confirmation.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering role within the IT sector. In addition to technical proficiency, key attributes include:

  • A strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tenders and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and coordination skills, effectively collaborating across sales, engineering, and procurement departments.

Technical Focus Areas

This role requires expertise across various technical domains, including:

  • Networking: Structured cabling, switches, firewalls.
  • Security Systems: Access control, cybersecurity principles.
  • CCTV/Surveillance: IP CCTV, Video Management Systems (VMS).
  • Vendor Ecosystem: Experience working with leading OEMs such as Cisco, Fortinet, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, Genetec, and HID.
