About the Role
Four Points by Sheraton in Riyadh is seeking a Sales Manager I to proactively solicit and manage sales opportunities. This full-time position focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve sales objectives and personal sales goals. The role requires a proactive approach to driving business and ensuring seamless service delivery through effective sales management.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Collaborate with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and effective sales efforts.
- Develop and nurture relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, events, and trade shows to secure future bookings.
- Build and maintain relationships within the local community to expand the customer base.
- Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely turnover of business to Event Management for proper service delivery.
- Participate in sales calls with the sales team to acquire new business and close deals.
- Execute operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals and writing contracts.
- Understand market trends, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and economic factors to maximize revenue.
- Identify the location’s primary target customers and their service expectations to offer tailored business solutions.
- Support the company’s service and relationship strategy to drive customer loyalty and account growth.
- Execute and uphold the company’s customer service standards, providing excellent service consistently.
- Set a positive example for guest relations and interact with guests to gather feedback.
Sales Strategy and Market Understanding
This role involves identifying new business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals. A thorough understanding of the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand dynamics, is essential for effective sales strategies. The manager will close the best opportunities based on current market conditions and location needs, while also gaining insight into the location’s primary target customers and their service expectations to offer optimal business solutions.
Customer Relationship Management
A core aspect of this position is supporting the company’s service and relationship strategy to foster customer loyalty. This is achieved by delivering excellent service throughout every customer interaction and actively working to grow the share of existing accounts. The Sales Manager I is responsible for executing and upholding the company’s customer service standards, ensuring that exceptional customer service is provided consistently, aligning with daily service basics.
Qualifications and Experience
This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in sales or a related field. A proactive approach to sales, strong relationship-building skills, and a solid understanding of market dynamics are required. The ability to manage multiple tasks, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively within a team environment is also important.
Work Environment
