About the Role

Four Points by Sheraton in Riyadh is seeking a Sales Manager I to proactively solicit and manage sales opportunities. This full-time role focuses on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve sales objectives and requires 2-5 years of experience. The position is accountable for ensuring business is properly and timely turned over for service delivery and assists in leading day-to-day sales activities.

Key Responsibilities in Sales Development

This role involves actively developing and nurturing relationships to generate sales opportunities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with off-property sales channels to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.
  • Building and strengthening relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows to drive future bookings.
  • Developing community relationships to expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Managing and developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing accurate, complete, and effective turnover of business to Event Management.

Sales Activity Management and Execution

The Sales Manager I will actively participate in and support sales operations to secure new business and manage booked accounts. This includes:

  • Participating in sales calls with the sales team to acquire new business and close deals.
  • Executing and supporting the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals and writing contracts.
  • Managing customer correspondence related to sales activities.

Market Insight and Revenue Maximization

A key aspect of this role is leveraging market knowledge to maximize revenue. This involves:

  • Identifying new business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape, including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand dynamics, to effectively position offerings.
  • Closing the most advantageous opportunities for the location based on current market conditions and needs.
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of the location’s primary target customer and their service expectations, offering tailored business solutions.

Customer Service Excellence

Providing exceptional customer service is fundamental to this role, aiming to drive customer loyalty and account growth. This includes:

  • Supporting the company’s service and relationship strategy to deliver excellence throughout the customer experience.
  • Servicing customers to grow their share of business with the company.
  • Executing and supporting the company’s customer service standards and daily service basics.
  • Setting a positive example for guest relations and interacting with guests to obtain feedback.
