About the Role

Hays is seeking an experienced Oracle Middleware (Oracle Service Bus) Solution Architect for a contract position in Riyadh. This role involves leading the architecture and design of enterprise integrations for a Utility company, focusing on secure, scalable, and well-governed solutions using Oracle Service Bus. The architect will ensure alignment with overall Solution Architecture standards and the enterprise application landscape, including Apigee and SOA Suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for OSB-based integrations and services.
• Design and review integration architectures, APIs, and service contracts (REST/SOAP, XML/WSDL).
• Produce high-quality architecture and integration design documents for each API/service.
• Ensure compliance with Solution Architecture CoE principles, standards, and design lifecycle governance.
• Define and enforce integration patterns, error handling, resiliency, and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with Integration, Applications, QA, PMO, and IT Operations teams for early engagement and delivery readiness.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Oracle Middleware architecture.
• Strong hands-on and architectural experience with Oracle Service Bus (OSB).
• Solid knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and middleware-based architectures.
• Experience with API and service design using REST/SOAP/HTTPS and XML/WSDL.
• Proven ability to work within architecture governance frameworks and produce clear, standardized documentation.
• Experience working in complex enterprise integration landscapes, including middleware, gateways, and internal/external systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Architecture or Oracle middleware certifications are considered an advantage.

Work Environment

This is a contract role based in Riyadh. The position requires close collaboration with various IT and business teams to ensure successful integration delivery.
