Power Plant Mechanical Engineer Cost Estimation & Technical Office

About the Role

Raissy Trading and Contracting Company is seeking a Power Plant Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Cost Estimation and Technical Office functions. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience, preferably in Power Generation, Industrial, and EPC projects.

Role Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for evaluating tenders, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and coordinating with various stakeholders. This role involves developing both technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and supporting bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and Scope of Work (SOW).
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and evaluate technical and commercial quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and technical deviations during tender evaluation.
• Estimate material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, project teams, and engineering disciplines.
• Support bid submissions and participate in technical clarification meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications and project requirements.
• Perform basic mechanical engineering calculations, including pump sizing, piping pressure drop, HVAC cooling loads, and preliminary equipment sizing.

Required Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Experience in Power Plant Maintenance Projects.
• Background in Mechanical Installation Works.
• Involvement in Industrial EPC Projects.
• Proven experience in Estimation and Tendering activities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a project-focused environment, collaborating with various internal and external teams.
