About the Role
ASAS for Developing & Operating Industrial Cities is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to supporting the operational procurement activities of the ICP Program, ensuring efficiency and adherence to established guidelines throughout the procurement process.
Role Purpose and Context
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the timely execution of purchase orders, effective coordination with vendors, and strict alignment with program requirements. This role works closely with the Procurement & Contract Manager, Contract Specialists, and various program units to facilitate smooth procurement processes, track deliveries, and maintain accurate records, while ensuring full compliance with ASAS policies and program governance.
Operational Procurement Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day procurement tasks, including processing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and tracking deliveries.
- Ensure the timely procurement of goods and services to meet the specific needs of the program.
- Support the preparation and submission of all necessary procurement documentation in line with ASAS policies.
Vendor and Contract Management
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, delivery schedules, and resolution of any order discrepancies.
- Assist in monitoring vendor performance and service levels under the guidance of the Procurement & Contract Manager.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all supplier communications and transactions.
- Collaborate with Contract Specialists to ensure procurement activities align with contractual terms and conditions.
- Assist in maintaining accurate contract-related records and documentation.
Compliance, Reporting, and Coordination
- Ensure all procurement activities strictly follow ASAS policies, program guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate files and records to support audits, approvals, and program reporting.
- Provide procurement status updates, reports, and dashboards to the Procurement & Contract Manager.
- Coordinate with the Finance & Accounting department for payment approvals related to procurement activities.
- Liaise with program units to address procurement-related queries and requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for the Procurement Specialist position are required to have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in procurement or a related field. The role demands a solid understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and compliance within a structured program environment.
