Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Waja is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience in quantity surveying and involves managing project costs and quantities from initial estimates through to final accounts. The role is integral to ensuring financial accuracy and control across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs for civil, architectural, and interior finishing works.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) in accordance with drawings and technical specifications.
• Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to define the scope of work.
• Prepare initial project estimates and cost budgets, and review them periodically.
• Prepare and review monthly payment certificates for contractors and subcontractors.
• Review and verify executed quantities on site in coordination with the project team.
• Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders and additional works.
• Monitor project costs and compare them against the approved budget.
• Prepare reports related to project costs and financial variances.
• Review quotations submitted by suppliers and subcontractors and prepare the required comparisons.
• Coordinate with the Projects, Procurement, and Finance departments regarding costs and quantities.
• Prepare project settlements and final accounts.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 3+years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field. A strong understanding of construction processes, cost estimation, and contract documentation is essential for this role.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, offering a salary range of SAR 3,750 - SAR 5,625 per month. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project financial objectives are met.
