Job Description
About the Role
Parsons Corporation is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position is part of a major infrastructure Project Management Office (PMO).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial evaluation of tender submissions, including quantity and cost assessment.
- Prepare, review, and validate project budgets and cost estimates upon issuance of design packages.
- Review and verify designer Bills of Quantities (BOQs), both priced and unpriced, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Lead and support the PMCM Quantity Surveying team in finalizing BOQ remeasurements at all project stages.
- Review Interim Payment Applications (IPAs / IPCs) after PMCM checks, focusing on quantities, measurement, and valuation logic.
- Support the evaluation of Change Orders, variations, and claims, including quantity take-offs and cost impact assessments.
- Prepare high-level cost estimates for variations, confidential studies, and ad-hoc client requests.
- Assist in developing and updating program-level cash flow forecasts.
- Review significant quantities related to client-driven changes, such as fill materials, bridge cladding, and landscaping.
- Coordinate with PMCM commercial teams to ensure alignment and quality of submissions.
- Support workshops with designers on quantity take-off methodology and BOQ structure.
- Provide independent cost advice to the client as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience, with a preference for experience on major infrastructure or roads projects.
- Strong experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying.
- Experience in PMO, PMC, or client-side roles is strongly preferred.
- Experience working within the GCC / KSA region.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong cost-analysis capabilities.
Work Context
This role is based in Riyadh and operates within a full-time capacity. The position involves working within a major infrastructure PMO.
