Sales Engineer

About the Role

CMTC is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer – Waterproofing & Construction Chemicals to join its team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on developing business opportunities and promoting CMTC’s specialized solutions across projects within the Kingdom.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with contractors, consultants, and clients to drive the adoption of CMTC’s waterproofing and construction chemical solutions. This involves identifying new business, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring client satisfaction from initial contact through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Saudi construction market.
• Promote waterproofing systems, construction chemicals, and related specialized solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, developers, and project stakeholders.
• Follow up on ongoing and upcoming projects, identifying opportunities from early tender/specification stages.
• Conduct regular client and project-site visits to understand technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Coordinate with technical and operations teams to ensure proposed systems meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Follow up on inquiries, quotations, negotiations, and orders through to closing.
• Support product/system approvals with consultants and clients when required.
• Monitor market activity, competitors, pricing, and upcoming projects.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and reports.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the expansion of CMTC’s business in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in Saudi Arabia within waterproofing, construction chemicals, or specialized construction materials.
• Strong technical knowledge of waterproofing systems and their applications.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi construction market and established relationships with contractors, consultants, and developers.
• Demonstrated experience in project-based technical sales, from lead generation and specification through negotiation and closing.

Required Skills

• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical requirements.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• A valid Saudi driving license is preferred.
