Senior Architect - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Future Connect is recruiting for a full-time Senior Architect for its client, a well-established architectural design consultancy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading a team of architects and overseeing architectural projects from concept design through construction documentation. It requires a strong design background and proven leadership capabilities within an architectural design consultancy environment.

The firm specializes in providing innovative architectural and engineering design solutions across a wide range of sectors, with a strong focus on quality, technical excellence, and sustainable design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of architects throughout all project stages.
• Oversee architectural design from Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and IFC documentation.
• Review and approve architectural drawings, technical documents, and design deliverables.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Ensure all designs comply with project requirements, Saudi Building Code, local authority regulations, and quality standards.
• Apply Saudi Architecture Characters and Saudi Urban Identity principles throughout the design process.
• Manage project schedules, design resources, and deliverables to meet project milestones.
• Participate in client meetings, design presentations, workshops, and technical reviews.
• Support BIM implementation and multidisciplinary coordination using Revit.
• Mentor junior architects and promote technical excellence across the design team.
• Identify design risks and propose practical, innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 8–15 years of professional experience in architectural design.
• Proven experience within a leading Architectural Design Consultancy is mandatory.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing architectural teams.
• Strong experience delivering projects from Concept Design through IFC documentation.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent architectural design and technical coordination skills.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows.
• Solid knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and local authority requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Architecture Characters, Saudi Urban Identity, and local planning and design guidelines, with the ability to integrate cultural, environmental, and regional architectural principles into design solutions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers is preferred.

Preferred Project Experience

Candidates with experience delivering large-scale mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, residential, public sector, cultural, or master planning projects within leading architectural design consultancies will be highly preferred. Experience working on major developments, Vision 2030 initiatives, or projects requiring multidisciplinary coordination and design leadership will be considered a strong advantage.
