About Omrania and the Senior Landscape Design Manager Role
Omrania, a prominent firm in the region, has contributed to significant landscape architecture and planning projects, encompassing historical and cultural spaces as well as large-scale urban parks. We are seeking a Senior Landscape Design Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is open to Saudi Nationals and offers substantial opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic project pipeline across the region.
Role Purpose and Project Leadership
The Senior Landscape Design Manager is responsible for the day-to-day design management and implementation of landscape architecture projects, covering both early-stage conceptualization and later technical design phases. This role ensures effective and efficient project execution, supports the leadership of the Head of Section and Project Managers, and promotes Omrania's image and values. The position involves leading large-scale projects and providing specialist technical expertise during design and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of architects, designers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee quality controls and design checks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integrate early MEP, FLS, and specialty requirements, conducting basic Fire and Life Safety reviews and implementing recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors, to manage expectations and ensure project success.
- Contribute to proposal preparation, including scope identification, design methodology, and budget.
- Oversee and review project concept design preparation, including design delivery plans, presentations, drawings, and reports.
- Collaborate with department leadership on complex design challenges and ensure technical feasibility.
- Lead and oversee the design production and coordination process across disciplines (in-house or external partners).
- Conduct technical review and assessment of sub-consultants' deliverables.
- Oversee and review the development and progress of project BIM Models, utilizing BIM workflows for coordination and QMS procedures.
- Collaborate with spec writers and quantity surveyors for architectural specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Participate in value engineering sessions, tendering processes, and provide remote site support related to architecture.
- Report weekly to department management on project schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in Design Management responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, construction practices, and building codes.
- Diversified experience across various project typologies within the GCC region.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale architectural projects and leading design teams.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in BIM processes and workflows, with effective utilization of BIM software.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Active leadership and participation in client meetings, presentations, and workshops.
