About the Role
Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the construction delivery of hotel assets. This full-time position, based in Riyadh Province, requires a candidate with over 10 years of experience to lead projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and foster a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture on projects, empowering teams to implement initiatives and exercise 'Stop Work' authority.
- Ensure full compliance with regulations in collaboration with the HSE team and conduct safety audits.
- Manage team deliverables through effective leadership, setting individual objectives, performance management, and team development.
- Set the strategic direction for overall project planning and execution.
- Lead collaboration and interface management across design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure assets are delivered according to approved designs, budgets, and milestone dates.
- Manage project resources, schedules, financials, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Effectively allocate resources and manage contractors and Delivery Partners.
- Oversee project schedules, costs, risks, quality, and safety risks and opportunities through coordinated discipline management.
- Ensure accountability for the approval and compliance of the project execution plan across all relevant stakeholders.
- Provide regular status reports and updates to QIC senior management and key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards.
- Support commercial teams in budgeting and maintain financial controls to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Foster collaboration and coordination across cross-functional teams and districts.
- Oversee project interfaces within projects and manage interfaces with other projects.
- Collaborate with the Delivery Partner to develop annual objectives, resourcing plans, critical schedule milestones, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Drive alignment between design and contractual requirements by reviewing documents, identifying gaps, providing feedback, and facilitating resolutions.
- Lead reviews of design documents to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and specifications.
- Identify and address any gaps or conflicts between design and contract requirements.
- Coordinate with QIC Procurement on scoping, tender reviews, and performance analysis.
- Lead project meetings, value engineering sessions, problem resolution discussions, design reviews, construction inspections, presentations, documentation checks, training sessions, proposal evaluations, contract and claims negotiations, and public outreach events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of leading complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Diverse experience working within mega/large-scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors.
- Significant experience in the development, implementation, and management of business systems, including policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to set clear goals, motivate teams, and achieve results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver challenging objectives using industry knowledge for decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and across multiple departments.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices.
Work Environment and Context
This role is a full-time position located in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Province. The position offers the opportunity to be part of a significant city development project in Saudi Arabia, focusing on hotel asset delivery.
