About Saned Health and the Senior Software Tester Role

Saned Health is a Saudi healthcare information systems company dedicated to building the digital infrastructure for hospitals and care providers across the Kingdom. We are seeking a Senior Software Tester to join our team in Riyadh. This is a full-time, hands-on role focused on ensuring the quality of our healthcare platforms, including our Hospital Information System (HIS), referral management portal, population health management tools, and national integrations. The position requires 5-10 years of experience, with a focus on both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Tester, you will take ownership of quality across our web applications, mobile apps, APIs, and national-level integrations. You will be instrumental in defining our testing strategy, mentoring junior testers, and elevating our automation coverage. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and clinicians to ensure the delivery of safe and reliable software for real-world healthcare settings. Your work directly impacts clinicians, payers, and patients within Saudi Arabia's healthcare ecosystem.

Key Testing and Quality Assurance Duties

• Define and own the test strategy for HIS, portals, mobile apps, and integration services.
• Translate product requirements into comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
• Establish QA standards, entry/exit criteria, and release readiness checklists.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, reviewing test cases and coaching on bug reporting.
• Execute exploratory, functional, regression, and user acceptance testing across complex healthcare workflows.
• Validate clinical and operational scenarios, including patient registration, encounters, billing, and claims.
• Verify edge cases specific to healthcare, such as bilingual UI, RTL layouts, and Saudi-specific clinical data.
• Write clear and reproducible bug reports with severity and impact assessments.

Test Automation and Mobile Testing

• Build and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications.
• Develop API test automation using relevant tools and frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Drive test data management, test environment hygiene, and reliable test design.
• Test native and cross-platform mobile applications across various devices, OS versions, and network conditions.
• Validate mobile application behaviors, including offline functionality, sync, and notifications.

API, Integration, and Performance Testing

• Design and execute tests for REST APIs, message-based integrations, and event-driven flows.
• Test integrations with national health platforms (NPHIES), payers, and third-party systems.
• Validate healthcare data exchanges for structural and semantic correctness.
• Plan and execute performance, load, stress, and soak tests.
• Define performance Service Level Objectives (SLOs) in collaboration with engineering and operations.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and work with engineering on remediation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of professional software testing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong manual testing foundations, including test design techniques and risk-based prioritization.
• Hands-on test automation experience on web and at least one mobile automation framework.
• API testing experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or pytest.
• Demonstrated experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, Locust, or Gatling.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and issue investigation.
• Fluency in Jira and at least one structured test management tool.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
