About the Opportunity

Dautom, an IT consulting partner, is seeking a Senior System Engineer (Infrastructure & Operations) to support one of its esteemed clients in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract role involves working with a globally recognized leader in their industry, distinguished by their commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering exceptional value. The position requires a professional with extensive experience in system and infrastructure operations.

Role Purpose

The Senior System Engineer will play a critical role in managing and maintaining robust IT infrastructure for the client. This position focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of enterprise systems, contributing to strategic initiatives and business transformation. The successful candidate will apply their expertise across various operational domains to support the client's IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure and enterprise IT systems.
• Handle day-to-day system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Administer backup and recovery solutions to ensure data protection and business continuity.
• Manage storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage solutions.
• Perform server installation, configuration, upgrades, and patch management.
• Monitor system health, capacity planning, and infrastructure availability.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and system security best practices.
• Coordinate with application, network, and security teams for infrastructure support.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and system reports.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in System Operations, Infrastructure Operations, and IT Operations.
• Strong expertise in managing Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency with backup solutions and their administration.
• Demonstrated experience with storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage solutions.
• Experience supporting virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.

Desired Skills

• Exposure to cloud computing fundamentals.
• Familiarity with various cloud platforms.
