About the Role

DirectFN, a provider of financial technology software and content for the Capital Market Industry, is seeking a Senior Technical Deployment Support professional for its operations in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on leading and executing complex software deployments for DirectFN's capital markets platforms and financial technology solutions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Deployment Support is a hands-on technical position responsible for the successful execution of intricate software deployments across client and internal environments. This role involves taking ownership of technically demanding deployments, including environment configuration, script execution and validation, system integrations, and directing technical activities during go-live phases. Working under the Deployment Manager, this position ensures accurate and reliable deployments, mentors junior team members, and contributes to the enhancement of deployment processes and automation.

• Lead the execution of complex software deployments in client-hosted, on-premises, and cloud environments.
• Run and validate deployment scripts, automated installations, and configuration commands, verifying outcomes at each stage.
• Perform pre-deployment environment validation and readiness checks.
• Plan and execute database migration scripts, data loads, and schema updates.
• Configure and tune application servers, middleware, and related infrastructure components.
• Set up and validate application configuration files and environment parameters.
• Lead real-time technical support during go-live deployment windows and oversee post-deployment validation.
• Execute and supervise rollback procedures in case of deployment failures.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues during or after deployments.
• Act as a senior escalation point for deployment issues, conducting root cause analysis.
• Maintain detailed deployment logs.
• Mentor and guide junior deployment and support engineers.
• Build and maintain deployment runbooks and technical knowledge bases.
• Identify and drive improvements to deployment processes, scripts, and automation.
• Document all deployment activities accurately.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software deployment, application support, or IT operations is required, including experience leading complex deployments. The role demands strong hands-on experience with deployment scripts in Linux and Windows environments, proficiency in command-line tools and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, or Python), and a solid understanding of application server configuration and database deployment procedures. Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and change management processes is essential. Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with experience deploying financial technology applications, trading platforms, or brokerage management systems. Familiarity with cloud deployment environments (Azure, AWS, or OCI), containerization basics (Docker), and deployment automation tools (*, Ansible) is advantageous. Exposure to monitoring tools (*, Grafana, PRTG, Datadog) and an ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent are also considered beneficial.
