The Role of Shipping Officer

The Shipping Officer will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the shipping process, from documentation to delivery. This full-time position requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods while maintaining accurate records and resolving any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping lines.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and delivery orders.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to their destinations.
• Coordinate customs clearance processes and follow up with customs brokers.
• Monitor shipping schedules, freight costs, and delivery timelines to optimize operations.
• Resolve shipment delays and documentation issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and update shipment reports regularly.
• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and internal company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in shipping operations or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate complex shipping logistics.
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within the Middle East Specialized Cables (MESC) team. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment focused on efficient logistics and supply chain management.
