About the Role
W Hotels in Riyadh is seeking a Spa & Recreation Attendant to join their team. This full-time, non-management position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to start their career in the hospitality industry. The role is crucial in ensuring guests have a relaxing and safe experience at the recreation facilities, aligning with W Hotels' mission.
As a Spa & Recreation Attendant, you will be the primary point of contact for guests engaging with recreational offerings. Your focus will be on encouraging participation, providing information, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, embodying the W Hotels' "Whatever/Whenever" service philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage, register, and schedule guests for recreation activities.
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- Provide guests with information about available recreation facilities and activities.
- Communicate and enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility for guest safety.
- Observe activities within the facility and respond appropriately to emergencies according to operating procedures.
- Identify situations where guests may not be able to safely participate in an activity and report to a supervisor or manager.
- Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
- Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
- Anticipate and address guest service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
- Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Process payments for rental equipment, activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Navigate through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or *** equivalent.
- CPR Certification.
- First Aid Certification.
- Familiarity with recreation equipment.
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.

- Excellent customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in teamwork and collaboration.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with computer systems and point of sale (POS) systems.
Work Environment and Location
