About the Role

Astek Middle East is seeking a Traffic Management Systems Lead to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing transportation technology and traffic management use cases within a Smart City environment. The successful candidate will coordinate across various teams to ensure successful system delivery, integration, and operational readiness.

Role Context

The Traffic Management Systems Lead will be a key interface for transportation-related systems and stakeholders. This position requires a strong understanding of traffic control and management systems, with a focus on integrating these technologies within a large-scale Smart City framework. The role involves coordinating with mobility, design, operational technology (OT), and general technology teams to align efforts with the overall transportation strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of transportation and traffic management technology use cases.
• Coordinate with mobility, design, OT, and technology teams to ensure alignment with the overall transportation strategy.
• Oversee system implementation, integration, testing, and field readiness.
• Ensure traffic management systems and related technologies comply with Smart City requirements.
• Coordinate integration between traffic systems, field devices, ICT/OT, and other relevant platforms.
• Support the technical resolution of transportation system issues and cross-domain dependencies.
• Review system readiness for commissioning, handover, and operational deployment.
• Act as the primary technical interface for transportation-related systems and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Traffic Management Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Smart Mobility, or Transportation Technology.
• Strong understanding of traffic control/management systems and technology integration.
• Experience working with OT/IT systems, field devices, and system integration.
• Demonstrated strong stakeholder and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Experience delivering transportation technology projects in large-scale or Smart City environments is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on critical infrastructure within a Smart City framework. The role requires collaboration with diverse technical and operational teams to achieve project objectives.
