Position Title: Senior Urban Planning Engineer - Water Systems & Distribution

Location: Multiple Locations, Saudi Arabia

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Urban Planning Engineer with Hill International, you will be responsible for designing and managing water supply and wastewater systems in urban areas. You will develop plans for water distribution networks, sewage collection and treatment systems, stormwater management, and water resource management to ensure safe and efficient water supply and environmental sustainability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing existing conditions and developing engineering solutions that optimize functionality and sustainability.
• Conducting feasibility studies to assess the viability and practicality of urban development projects.
• Evaluating environmental impact, economic feasibility, technical constraints, and regulatory compliance factors.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and standards.
• Collaborating with various stakeholders including urban planners, architects, developers, and government agencies.
• Providing technical expertise and contributing to the coordination of project implementation.
• Using data analysis and modeling techniques to assess and predict the performance of urban infrastructure systems.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
You should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Urban Planning from an accredited university, along with a minimum of 15 years' experience in a related field on major national/international initiatives and developments. Extensive experience in major development master planning and urban planning, preferably at a national level, is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an understanding of cultural aspects in project management within KSA are highly desirable.
