
Special Education Specialist
Job Description
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Knowing the beneficiary's health and medical history and following up on any developments or new information.
Applying the official and unofficial measures followed within the branch with all beneficiaries.
Evaluation three times during the semester and entering it electronically.
Creating the beneficiary's file within the semester.
Receiving beneficiaries at the scheduled time.
Checking the beneficiary at the beginning of the day, ensuring their safety and cleanliness, and immediately reporting any emergency.
Adhering to the plan schedule and daily plan, recording it and visual support methods.
Preparing the daily schedule for beneficiaries.
Photographing beneficiary records and inquiring via the application.
Training the beneficiary according to the followed plan and adhering to the specified time and areas.
Following educational methods in reinforcement and behavior modification.
Applying the visual schedule and in its correct form.
Analyzing the beneficiary's progress or the plan's unsuitability and discussing it continuously with the supervisor/assistant.
Following up on the plan and coordinating with the supervisor/assistant for their period and modifying it as needed.
Training the beneficiary on independent skills such as using the bathroom, eating meals, and other independent skills.
Adhering to monitoring the beneficiary's diet and not using dietary reinforcement methods with the diet.
Receiving and maintaining entrusted items and tools.
Preparing educational materials to serve the training program and directed activities.
Listing the program's needs for materials and tools and reporting to the supervisor.
Recording observations in the daily log and responding to parents' inquiries politely and professionally.
Documenting homework for parents within the Zebra Box application with a simple description that facilitates follow-up for parents.
Adhering to daily electronic monitoring of the beneficiary and ensuring its accuracy.
Turning off lights and air conditioning, tidying the classroom, securing tools, and handing over device keys at the end of the workday.
Handing over the beneficiary at the end of the program with all their complete belongings, or to the bus supervisors, hand-to-hand.
Adhering to monitoring the beneficiary's exit for services and coordinating any discrepancies in the schedule.
Reporting the beneficiaries' need for supportive interventions or nominating for the profession.
Writing notes for support services if there are training difficulties, to be handed over to the assistant.
Monitoring beneficiaries' performance, writing observations, and informing the technical administration about any emergency or changes concerning the beneficiary.
Reporting any malfunction, damage, or required tasks.
Communicating with parents after consulting the supervisor.
Contributing to the communication of the visiting mother and dealing with parents' inquiries flexibly and objectively.
Cooperating with the psychologist in writing clinic reports and submitting them to the supervisor on time.
Reviewing semester and mid-term reports and submitting them on time.
Adhering to activities accompanying the program (structured play, art).
Participating in public events, ideas, and contributions to integrate the beneficiary into society and contributing to the preparation of the closing ceremony.
Contributing to the preparation of the beneficiary reception program.
Periodic meeting with specialists and technical administration to discuss beneficiary progress and difficulties.
Contributing to the training of trainees and answering their inquiries to contribute to their evaluation.
Contributing to the development of the training program schedule in coordination with the technical assistant.
Developing performance by attending workshops and scientific courses.
Adhering to implementing the care services role from common goals within the classroom.
Applying the approved system within the rehabilitation programs, organizing the classroom environment, and completing forms as required for the environment.
Entering follow-up sessions once daily and training environment follow-up sessions once weekly.
The specialist is obligated to all that is stated in the center's regulations and all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
The qualification matching the specialization and track based on the targeted program.
Personal Skills:
Ability to manage the classroom environment and provide effective guidance.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills in consultation with the supervisor.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with field challenges.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using computer programs and technical applications.
Communication Skills:
Teamwork and effective information exchange.
Coordination with the supervisor to request support and guidance.
Full adherence to work instructions and guidelines.
