Job Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Specialist. The successful candidate will issue, receive, and update inventory in a busy Building & Infrastructure warehouse. This role is vital in ensuring that materials and equipment are readily available for our construction projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Issuing and Receiving:
    • Accurately issue materials, tools, and equipment to construction teams.
    • Receive deliveries, verify quantities, and inspect for discrepancies.
    • Document issues with received goods and coordinate with suppliers.
    • Log all issued and received items in the inventory management system.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records, including counts and locations of items.
    • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile system records.
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary.
    • Implement standard operating procedures for inventory control.
  • Warehouse Organization:
    • Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.
    • Label and categorize items for easy retrieval.
    • Optimize storage space for efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Effectively communicate with construction managers and project supervisors.
    • Coordinate timely deliveries with suppliers.
    • Support and guide warehouse staff and assist in training new members.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or inventory management role.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy items.
