About the Role

Aloula Aviation is seeking a Contract Advisor to join its team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to the development and administration of contracts, ensuring they align with company objectives and financial feasibility. The Contract Advisor will serve as the primary representative for contract proponents, contributing to strategic financial studies and the evaluation of contractual alternatives.

This role requires close collaboration with contracting professionals and various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution and management of contracts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of contracting principles, financial analysis, and negotiation strategies, particularly within the Saudi Arabian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Contract Proponent representative in the development and administration of assigned contracts.
  • Assist in the development of financial studies to establish the feasibility of contract services and evaluate technical, financial, and procedural alternatives.
  • Collaborate with contracting professionals to develop analyses and technical qualifications of bidders.
  • Participate in the preparation of scopes of work for various contract services.
  • Assist in the development of status reports and presentations for Executive Management.
  • Act as the contract proponent representative on the Bid Review Team, contributing to the development of realistic company positions on contract terms and their negotiation.
  • Prepare analyses of bid responses, negotiation offers, and counter-offers for specific contracts.
  • Aid in the preparation of company estimates or work with estimating functions in their preparation.
  • Assist, as requested, in the preparation of verifications of contractor costs and escalation or de-escalation amendments.
  • Negotiate with contractors as part of a negotiating team comprising Contracting and contract proponent representatives.
  • Prepare responses and represent the proponent in Claim Review Panels.
  • Provide proponent representation in contract administration, participating in the development of financial and technical advice on the intent of wording, scopes of service, or other clauses impacting cost and cost-benefit relationships.
  • Help provide justification and recommendations for changes in contracting procedures or contract formats.
  • Perform periodic examinations of contract administration in the field to identify shortcomings or potential problems in administrative procedures or contract terms and conditions.
  • Perform miscellaneous related duties as requested.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Work experience in auditing, accounting, and contracting techniques and procedures is desirable.
  • A degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Business/Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or MIS.
