About the Inspector Role
GE Vernova is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inspector to join our team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring the quality of gas turbine components throughout the repair process. The successful candidate will gain comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance practices, from incoming inspection to final sign-off, and will play a key role in maintaining high standards of operational excellence. As an Inspector, you will be responsible for executing quality inspection tasks within cell operations. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality, with an expectation to lead by example and go above and beyond in your duties. You will contribute to the technical reporting of job conditions and any defects identified during operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming and final inspections on gas turbine components to identify any nonconformances or defects.
- Interpret, measure, and evaluate results against applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Adhere to all GEMTEC policies and procedures, actively promoting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), quality, and compliance on the shop floor.
- Write technical reports detailing job conditions and any defects encountered during operations.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a technical diploma with relevant work experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EHS and quality requirements essential for manufacturing operations.
- Ability to read and understand Work Instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
- Proficiency in writing technical reports.
- Capability to understand technical drawings and documents.
- Competency in using MS Office applications.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Extensive knowledge of Quality and Safety protocols.
- Familiarity with shop computer systems and Shop Support requirements.
- Proficiency in using various measuring instruments, such as calipers and dial indicators.
- Experience with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) certifications is highly desirable.
- Preferred knowledge of SAP.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
Work Location and Details
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
