About the Process Quality Operations Engineer Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Process Quality Operations Engineer to join the Industrial and Energy Technology (IET) Team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to the company's Engineering Transformation efforts, focusing on enhancing the quality of engineering processes and ensuring operational excellence within the global IET division, which serves the entire energy value chain and industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Cell and Quality teams in daily auditing operations within packaging to ISO and Baker Hughes standards.
  • Partner with Operational Leaders to ensure cell operations are smooth and compliant with all applicable procedures.
  • Record audit findings in Baker Hughes related tools.
  • Publish and monitor quality metrics for observations and punch lists identified during execution phases.
  • Drive cross-functional improvement projects for operational processes using lean methods, aimed at flawless execution and eliminating waste associated with escaping defects and observations/punch lists.
  • Lead quality toolbox awareness initiatives within the shop floor.
  • Perform and drive Non-Conformance Analysis (NCA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for observations, punch lists, and escaping defects.
  • Monitor the execution of quality programs and the performance of quality indicators, including weekly defect reviews and quarterly Quality Management Reviews (QMR).
  • Ensure the effective implementation of Quality Control processes.
  • Create and review work instructions and procedures as needed for manufacturing processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing and rotating equipment.
  • Experience range of 5-10 years is preferred.
