About the Role
Ecolab, a global leader in cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance products and services, is seeking a Sr Production Specialist for its facility in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for managing and leading a production shift, overseeing all aspects of plant operations including preparation (mixing), filling, packaging, and tote washing. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the production shift, ensuring adherence to the production plan in a safe and efficient manner.
- Oversee and perform operations on the production lines, including loading empty containers, labeling, preparation (mixing), filling, capping, bar code generation, and taking samples.
- Ensure the correct raw and packaging materials are available for production runs.
- Review preparation (mixing), filling, and packaging instructions at the beginning of line runs.
- Enter production data accurately into the warehouse management system.
- Report damages and discrepancies for accounting and record-keeping purposes.
- Recommend, implement, and promote measures to improve departmental productivity and efficiencies, product quality, methods, and working conditions to minimize downtime.
- Follow Total Production Management (TPM) and continuous improvement principles.
- Proactively communicate maintenance needs, quality issues, or other situations impacting safety, quality, or productivity to the appropriate functional or department leader.
- Assist in training teammates.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring good housekeeping practices throughout the plant.
- Complete cycle counts regularly and manage inventory for the Production department.
- Keep equipment in good condition through cleaning, testing, and inspection.
- Follow and adhere to operational and safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and good practices in daily operations.
- Execute SAP tasks, including opening/closing process orders and printing labels correctly and timely.
- Ensure proper shift handover procedures are followed.
- Actively participate in Kaizen events, 5S initiatives, TPM activities, Loss Analysis, and special projects.
- Complete and document activities that measure quality and productivity accurately and timely.
- Follow and adhere to safety, quality, and production-related Work Instructions, Memos, and SOPs.
- Assist with line changeovers, including the collection of wash water.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of previous experience in a chemical plant or warehouse environment.
- Two years of previous experience with reaction chemistry.
- Basic English language proficiency for reading and writing.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to use basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimals.
- Forklift driving certification or ability.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
